Gear Properties

All gear in EldritchDark falls into social categories that describe how easily it can be carried in ordinary company. Some older rows and disguised-gear examples are not table-facing rules here.

Concealed Gear

Concealed gear is small enough to carry on a person, in a purse, in a satchel, or in pockets without attracting attention unless it is discovered.

Suspicious Gear

Suspicious gear needs an explanation in ordinary social settings. Long coils of rope, visible weapons, and expedition equipment can raise suspicion when the scene does not justify them.

Disguised Gear

Disguised gear is ordinary gear whose true purpose has been hidden by craft or magic. Use entries with listed table details when the scene needs a price, name, or rule at the table.
